Clean and refresh your vehicle for Valentine's Day!
Wash and clean your car
Just because it is cold outside doesn't mean you have a free pass for skipping your car washes. In fact, it's more important now to wash your car. With snow and road salt covering your vehicle, it can accelerate the wear and tear on your vehicle. You can go as far as having it detailed to make sure it is clean, inside and out.
Monitor your tire pressure
Tire pressure changes all the time, especially with changes in temperature. We recommend checking and adjust your psi as often on a monthly to weekly basis. You can find the recommended pressure located on the doorjamb on the driver's side or in the vehicle's manual. Underinflated and overinflated tires can wear down your tires a lot sooner if you aren't careful.
Change your oil and filter
An oil and filter change can relieve some of the stress put on your engine. After the many miles you've driven, your engine oil will not be good enough to lubricate and cool the engine's moving components. Oil changes are always a must for keeping your vehicle reliable.
Check your fluid levels
Besides engine oil, your vehicle has many other fluids that help it run -- transmission, brake, power steering, windshield wiper, and coolant. Feel free to top them off or get a fluid flush.
Test your battery
Finally, it would be wise for you to test your battery's voltage. Furthermore, you should assess the physical condition of the battery to make sure it is free of corrosion and physical damage. Batteries last no longer than 5 years.
